Hi, I’m Kade, the owner of KPC Detailing.

 

I grew up in a true petrolhead family, so cars have always been a huge part of my life.

 

At just 13 years old, I took over the responsibility of cleaning and maintaining my parents’ vehicles. What started as helping out quickly became a genuine passion. I found real satisfaction in transforming vehicles and maintaining them to an exceptionally high standard. My attention to detail (and admittedly a touch of OCD) definitely worked in my favour.

 

As my passion grew, so did my drive to achieve even better results. If I wasn’t physically detailing a vehicle, I was spending hours watching professional detailers on YouTube and TikTok, studying their techniques, learning about the most effective products, tools, and equipment, and constantly improving my skills through practice.

 

My first real paying customer came completely by chance.

 

During the school holidays, while my parents were having a new kitchen installed, I was outside detailing Mum’s Ford Raptor. One of the contractors stopped, commented on the quality of my workmanship, and asked if he could book his vehicle in.

 

I still remember the excitement of that first booking.

 

That customer became a regular, booking every six weeks. Before long, people started noticing how immaculate his vehicle always looked and asking who detailed it. Word spread quickly, and soon after, a local Whangārei business reached out for help with their fleet vehicles. Every Saturday, Mum would drop me off so I could detail their vehicles.

 

Five years later, I still proudly service that same business every week.

 

As my experience grew, I noticed a clear gap in the market. People want their vehicles looking pristine, but many simply don’t have the time, tools, or knowledge to achieve professional results themselves.

 

What started as a weekend side hustle quickly became something much bigger.

 

I reinvested everything I earned into better products, commercial-grade equipment, and further training to continuously improve the quality of my service.

 

After finishing school, I studied Business Management full-time through NorthTec while continuing to service my regular detailing clients. I also completed a programme through The King’s Trust, which became a major turning point in my business journey and something I’ll always be grateful for.

 

Once qualified, I transitioned KPC Detailing into a fully mobile service.

 

Today, I’ve been detailing vehicles for over 6 years, with the past 4 years spent doing it full-time. I proudly contract to several local Whangārei businesses and have built strong, long-term relationships with both commercial and private clients.

 

A large percentage of my customers are on regular 6-week maintenance detailing plans, something I’m incredibly proud of, because it reflects the trust people place in my work, communication, and consistency.

 

I genuinely love what I do.
